The School of Basic Medical Science of Central South University, originated from Xiangya Medical College in 1914, has been growing and developing along with the development of "Xiangya for a century". It is one of the birthplaces of modern basic medicine in China. In 2000, with the mergence of Central South University, the new School of Basic Medical Science was established, and within the past two decades, it has gradually grown into a solid base integrating teaching, scientific research and social services, aiming at education, cultivation of high-quality specialized personnel, and research in the field of basic medical science.As one of the pioneers of modern medicine in China，CSUBMS has three first-level disciplines in basic medicine, with doctoral programs and post-doctoral research stations in biology and particular medicine, and is a national base for the cultivation of high-level specialized talents and scientific research in basic medicine, integrated with teaching, scientific research, and social service.

We are seeking colleagues to expand our research teams in the following areas: pathophysiology, medical ultrastructure, immunology, pathology, forensic medicine, anatomy, biomedical engineering, medical microbiology, medical parasitology, physiology, pathology, histology and embryology, reproductive genetics, stem cells and regenerative medicine.

CSUBMS is located in one of the most vibrant and fastest growing cities in China--Changsha, which is one of the newly emerging first-tier cities. Changsha has been rated as "China's Happiest City", with an average price of 10,030 yuan per square meter for new houses (data to December 2021), ranking 22nd among provincial capital cities in China, and is renowned for its excellent educational resources, medical support, convenient transportation and rich tourist attractions.
