Assistant Professor in Biochemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (www.sc.edu/chemistry) at the University of South Carolina, Columbia Campus, invites applications for a 9-month, full time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Biochemistry with a start date of August 16, 2024. Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemical biology, molecular biology, chemistry, or a related discipline plus a minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience by the start date of employment. Expertise in structural biology, neurochemistry and neurobiology, multi-omics, or computational biology is essential. Successful candidates are expected to develop a cutting-edge, externally-funded research program and to strive for excellence in teaching undergraduate- and graduate-level courses.
