The Department of Biological Sciences at Lehigh University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor in the area of Neuroscience beginning in August 2024. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in neuroscience or a directly related field at the time of employment and have at least one year of postdoctoral research experience.

Within a multidisciplinary, collaborative research environment in the department and across the university, the successful candidate is expected to develop an internationally recognized, extramurally funded research program, participate in the department’s Ph.D. program in biology, and contribute to the department’s excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching. Research that uses modern optical, electrophysiological, or genetic tools to interrogate broad populations of neurons in vivo would be an ideal complement to ongoing research in the department.
