Summary

Provide support to Dr. Anthony Maresso and Dr. Joseph Petrosino's labs, CMMR and Tailor service centers by coordinating research operations processes. Coordinates the day to day research operations for several research projects. including assists with preparation of grants and subcontracts submissions by gathering and submitting financial and research data. Management the research projects.

Job Duties

  • Facilitate travel arrangements and submit reimbursement requests.
  • Schedule meetings.
  • Manage Dr. Maresso's calendar.
  • FexEx labels preparation for the lab.
  • Project Management for Wastewater Projects (TEPHI, HCPH):
  • Oversee all aspects of wastewater sample intake, comprehensive viral sequencing, and data delivery.
  • Generate, maintain, and distribute metadata.
  • Coordinate and schedule both internal and external meetings.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take notes, and summarize meetings.
  • Attend TEPHI meetings and seminars.
  • Create figures and relevant PowerPoint presentations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all participating TEPHI and HCPH consortia.
  • Assist with the preparation of grants and subcontract submissions and billings for both projects.
  • Project Management for Dr. Petrosino/CMMR Grant Projects:
  • Oversee sample intake, comprehensive viral sequencing, and data delivery.
  • Generate, maintain, and distribute metadata.
  • Attend project-related meetings.
  • Assist with the preparation of grants and subcontract submissions and billings.
  • Assist the Center Administrator with market analysis to ensure that all service center rates are competitive compared to similar services at regional and national levels.
  • Assist the Lab Director in generating quotes and invoices for TAILOR Service Center.
  • Assist the CMMR Center Administrator in reviewing and approving quotes and invoices via the CMMR billing system.
  • Undergo training in pre and post award management under the guidance of a Sr. Research admin staff or Manager. This training aims to prepare the ideal candidate to eventually assume pre and post award responsibilities for Dr. Maresso's lab.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
