Position Overview
The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry (https://chemistry.osu.edu/) in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University seeks to fill a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to join our nationally ranked program in analytical chemistry. We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests in spectroscopy, separations, microfluidics, sensors, and/or electrochemistry. The new faculty member will join an interdisciplinary community on the main campus in Columbus, Ohio. Departmental faculty have access to state-of-the-art campus and national user facilities in areas such as electron microscopy, nanofabrication, NMR, mass spectrometry, and time-resolved laser science including X-ray and XUV spectroscopy, in addition to collaborations with other units of the university community.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field is required. The position will begin Autumn 2024. Demonstrated excellence in innovative research and a strong commitment to teaching are essential. Outstanding applicants in all areas of analytical chemistry will be considered but priority will be given to those candidates whose research interests complement those of existing faculty. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to building a culturally diverse intellectual community, in line with OSU’s Shared Values (see below).
