The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at Princeton University invites applications for multiple faculty positions at the assistant, associate, or full professor rank. We welcome applications from all areas in mechanical and aerospace engineering, including those that build new synergies or establish new directions. Areas of particular interest are (1) earth- and space-based advanced manufacturing and assembly, (2) robotics and intelligent systems, and (3) environmental monitoring and climate change management and mitigation. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in engineering or a related subject in the sciences and mathematics and have a demonstrated record of excellence in research with the potential to establish an independent research program. We seek faculty members who will contribute to our community by embracing excellence and diversity, with a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring. We strongly encourage applications from members of groups historically underrepresented in mechanical and aerospace engineering.

We seek creative and enthusiastic candidates with the background and skills who can bridge the disciplines and research initiatives in MAE, School of Engineering and Applied Science and the University beyond.

To ensure full consideration, applications should be received by November 15, 2023. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a cover letter, a list of publications and presentations, a 3-5 page summary of research accomplishments and future plans, a 1-2 page teaching statement, a 1-2 page personal statement, which should summarize your leadership experience, and can also address, should you wish, how your experiences and approaches on diversity-related issues, and contact information for at least three references online at https://www.princeton.edu/acad-positions/position/32141.
