Position Description:

As part of a strategic investment for a transformative expansion of the faculty of the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Biology at Johns Hopkins is poised for significant growth in the coming years. To this end, the Biology Department invites applications for tenure/tenure-track appointments. All ranks and all areas of molecular, cellular, developmental, genetic, genomic, evolutionary, and biochemical/biophysical biology will be considered.  We encourage applicants who are using advanced sequencing, microscopy, high-throughput and high-content imaging and structural techniques as well as genomics and computational biology to understand the fundamental biological mechanisms underlying growth, development cellular organization and pathogenesis. We especially encourage applicants that use machine-learning and artificial intelligence methods to enhance their research programs. Review of submitted applications will begin October 15, 2023 and consideration will be made on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in an appropriate field by the time their appointment begins. Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to conduct outstanding independent research and show promise for excellent teaching, and mentoring.
