Department of Immunology and Genomic Medicine

 

National Jewish Health, located in the heart of Denver, Colorado in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, is seeking candidates for the position of Chair, Department of Immunology and Genomic Medicine. 

 

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Proven leadership and administrative skills
  • Recognized achievement and national reputation within the field of Immunology
  • Demonstrated research and administrative experience and expertise
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to enhancing and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workplace
  • PhD, MD, DVM degree or equivalent
  • Eligible for licensure in the State of Colorado, if applicable
  • Must meet the requirements for appointment as Professor at National Jewish Health

Department of Immunology and Genomic Medicine (DIGM):

The Department of Immunology and Genomic Medicine (DIGM), Chaired by Dr. Philippa Marrack, offers a highly interactive, collegial and exciting research environment with world-renowned programs in innate and adaptive immunity, autoimmunity, infectious disease, genomics, and bioinformatics. DIGM was founded in 2014 and consists of 20 primary faculty and 10 secondary faculty. Within DIGM, many faculty are closely affiliated with the Center for Genes Health Environment at NJH, and also obtain joint appointments at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU-AMC) including the Department of Immunology and Microbiology. Faculty are actively involved in various PhD programs at CU-AMC which provides access to top PhD students from across the country. Our assets include excellent core facilities in flow cytometry, microscopy (including live imaging), genomics, and lipidomics, as well as an outstanding animal facility and mouse genetics core facility. At NJH, unparalleled opportunities exist for collaboration with physician scientists whose interests lie in asthma, allergy, lung cancer, infectious disease, autoimmunity, and COPD, as well as other aspects of pulmonary medicine.  A program of human genetics and genomics, with associated human biobank, facilitates translational research.

Salary Range:  $300,000 - $365,000 with bonus potential
