The Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Washington School of Medicine and the Center for Immunity and Immunotherapies (CIIT) in the Seattle Children's Research Institute (SCRI) is recruiting a full time Associate Professor or Professor . The position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be on the faculty-scientist pathway. Anticipated start date is Fall/Winter 2024.
This position will be expected to conduct basic or translational laboratory-based research in an area relevant to human or mouse immune cell development and/or function, including but not limited to immunodeficiencies, immune dysregulation, cell therapies, genetic engineering, in vivo delivery, genomics, or imaging.

The Institute consists of seven major research and translation centers and is involved in many innovative research endeavors, from human disease investigations to improving investigational therapies.
The SCRI campus is in the heart of Seattle's biotechnology community, and within walking distance to academic partners including the University of Washington, the Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center, and the Benaroya Research Institute, as well as several prominent biotechnology institutions. SCRI provides a vibrant, collaborative, and well-funded research environment with excellent facilities that facilitate collaborative relationships between clinical, translational, and basic science researchers. SCRI based faculty are also active participants in University of Washington based graduate training programs including Molecular and Cellular Biology, Immunology, M3D, MSTP and others.

This position requires an MD or DO, or foreign equivalent. A PhD in a relevant field or MD/PhD combined (or foreign equivalent), is also acceptable.
