Two Postdoctoral Fellows

Two Postdoctoral Fellows positions are available immediately to study the mechanisms of calcium signals generated by store-operated channels in both excitable and non-excitable tissues. Our research employs a variety of tools including electrophysiology, cell and molecular biological techniques. Experiments will involve a complimentary use of whole-cell and single channel patch clamp, calcium imaging, confocal/electron microscopy, genomic studies, microbiome, and molecular biology. These projects are ideal for highly motivated individuals with demonstrated experience in patch clamp and or molecular biology, which will be preferred.  


Three years of funding is currently available with possibility of renewal upon future funding. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and in accordance with the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio guidelines and pay-scale. San Antonio, TX offers a high standard of living with good access to both cultural and outdoor activities.
