The Department of Biochemistry at Wake Forest University School of Medicine invites applications to fill two tenure-track faculty positions, preferably Assistant or Associate Professor, with exciting research programs in biochemistry, and molecular and cellular biology. As part of an emerging vision research center, preference will be given to vision disease-related programs that complement our existing strengths. 

Successful candidates will join highly collaborative faculty conducting innovative research in vision, aging, angiogenesis, cancer biology, immunology, structural and redox biology, and genomics. In addition to maintaining a robust, extramurally funded research program, faculty are expected to teach and mentor graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, enhance the academic and intellectual environment of the department and the Institution, and support an inclusive culture that welcomes diversity of experience and thought. Faculty recruits will receive a competitive start-up package, modern laboratory space, and salary and rank commensurate with experience.

The Department of Biochemistry and the Wake Forest University School of Medicine are located in the heart of the Innovation Quarter and offer a dynamic environment for multidisciplinary research, including excellent core facilities.
