The Xiangshu Xiao and Bingbing Li joint Laboratory of Cancer Chemical Biology in the Department of Chemical Physiology and Biochemistry, Knight Cancer Institute at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) invites outstanding applicants for a postdoctoral position in cancer chemical biology. The candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team of investigators with expertise in drug discovery, organic synthesis, biochemistry, in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, molecular biology and cell biology. The candidate will be working in an exciting area of cancer chemical biology. Projects include synthesis of potential drugs, probes, target identification/validation, as well as in vitro and in vivo cancer pharmacology. The candidate should be capable of acquiring data, analyzing the data and writing up of the results into appropriate manuscript form for peer-reviewed publications. The candidate will have ample opportunities for participating grant writing, professional presentation and other professional development. The candidate must show demonstrated capability to work within a highly collaborative environment. Candidates with academic background in chemistry and/or biology will be considered. A Ph.D. in biochemistry, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology or other biomedical discipline is required. Salary will be at NIH scale and commensurate with experience ($56,484 and up at 1.0 FTE, plus benefits).
