The lab of Dr. Jonathan Boyce (https://u.osu.edu/boyce-174/) is seeking a Post Doctoral Scholar who will be responsible for conducting chemical biology (e.g. protein expression, biochemical assays, cell culture, synthesis of short peptide drug conjugates).  The researcher will work independently and in collaboration with the PI.  In addition to conducting research, the candidate will participate in laboratory management. Additional responsibilities will also include contributing to scientific publications and presenting progress updates at meetings.

 

Required Experience: PhD degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related, with an emphasis in Chemical Biology. The candidate will have expertise in protein expression/purification, assay development, basic skills in Python coding. The candidate will have experience with regularly troubleshooting scientific problems independently and keeping up-to-date written procedures of experiments. They will have strong oral communication skills with experience in training and supervision of other research personnel. The candidate will be effective in cross-collaborative team-based research projects.
