A Postdoctoral position in bioluminescence imaging-driven studies on virus spread and replication at Yale University
A Postdoctoral position is available to study HIV-1/SARS-CoV-2 replication and spread in mice. As part of our research, we use whole body bioluminescence imaging of virus-infected small animal models to study the role of host and viral factors on virus replication at the tissue, single cell, and ultrastructural levels. In addition, we are interested in understanding the mechanism by which antibody-mediated immunity interferes with virus dissemination. Candidates with strong background in molecular biology, viral immunology with proficiency in animal handling and interested in applying imaging-guided approach to uncover novel facets of virus biology are encouraged to apply. Lab members are embedded in an interdisciplinary and collaborative research program that applies imaging across all scales from living organisms to single molecules. Send a full CV and the name and address of three references by email to Walther Mothes (walther.mothes@yale.edu) and Pradeep Uchil (pradeep.uchil@yale.edu).
