Job Purpose
The Director Forecasting Excellence - Immunology drives the preparation of forecast models across the Immunology therapeutic area and functions as a mentor and coach for junior colleagues

Key Responsibilities:
• Develops and maintains indication-specific and epidemiology-based sales forecast models for pipeline and in-market brands on both an as needed and evolving basis
• Works collaboratively with the Innovative Medicines Global Product Strategy & Capabilities (GPSC) Insights & Analytics team, as well as other cross-functional partners, to ensure market insights are integrated into forecasts
• Coordinates with and obtains alignment from key stakeholders, including top countries, on critical assumptions and patient flow
• Identifies key risks and opportunities inherent in the forecast, and employs appropriate methodologies for addressing them
• Proactively monitors the industry environment to remain informed of best practices and to leverage new techniques and technologies that will enhance modelling and forecasting capabilities
• Consolidates and summarizes sales forecast assumptions, methodology, and results to all relevant reporting platforms
• Provides forecast models, assumption guidance, and training to GPSC Insights & Analytics colleagues and the country teams
• Coaches and mentors junior colleagues

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $192,000 and $288,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors

Minimum Requirements

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Science/Economics/ Statistics/Engineering/Business/related field required; advanced degree in one or more fields strongly preferred

Work Experience
• At minimum 10+yrs experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry or consulting environment, and extensive epidemiology based forecast modelling experience
• Familiarity with epidemiology data, IQVIA, Evaluate Pharma, claims, and other standard pharmaceutical data with strong background in forecasting in Immunology indications, for both small and large molecules
• Highly experienced with risk assessment methodologies, such as Monte Carlo simulations
• Expertise in translating inputs from cross-functional business partners into model assumptions with strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Effective team building and consulting skills, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional team

Desired Criteria:
• Therapeutic areas of knowledge: Neuroscience, Immunology, Cardiovascular, or Renal preferred

Languages
• Fluency in English required. Effective and persuasive communicator with strong presentation, communication (both written and verbal), influencing and negotiation skills
