Sequencing Center Manager, BYU

The Department of Biology at Brigham Young University is seeking a full-time manager for the BYU DNA Sequencing Center. Candidates with a PhD and experience in nucleic acid sequencing are encouraged to apply. Those with a Master's degree and substantial lab or managerial experience in nucleic acid sequencing and analysis will also be considered. The position involves managing the Life Sciences DNA Sequencing Center, with a 70% administrative and 30% teaching expectation. Teaching responsibilities include didactic courses and mentoring students. The manager will oversee sequencing services, train and supervise technical staff, provide expertise to faculty, and stay updated on evolving technologies. Bioinformatics skills are also required. The department encourages applications from underrepresented groups and individuals committed to mentoring diverse students.
