Multiple tenure-track/tenured faculty positions at Assistant, Associate or full Professor levels are open at the newly established Center for Cancer Research at MetroHealth Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. This is part of the institutional strategic initiatives to further expand the already strong basic and translational cancer research program. We are seeking outstanding candidates in all areas of basic and translational cancer research who have demonstrated significant accomplishments and the potential to make substantial contributions to the understanding of cancer development and malignant progression. Existing research areas include fundamental mechanisms of tumor etiology and progression, characterization of tumor immune microenvironment and microbiota through multi-omics and spatial biology, racial disparity, and ICI and CAR-T immune therapy across multiple cancer types including breast, prostate, and lung cancer as well as glioma, melanoma and leukemia. The successful candidate should have an M.D., Ph.D., or M.D.-Ph.D degree. Candidates at the Assistant Professor level should have expertise in using innovative approaches to investigating the functions of genes, targets, pathways, and systems, and demonstrated success competing for extramural funding. Candidates at the Associate Professor and Professor levels should also have a nationally funded research program and an outstanding record of cancer research productivity. The appointment will be at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, MetroHealth Medical Center, as well as Membership in the National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Comprehensive Cancer Center.
