We are seeking our next Assistant or Associate Professor in Immunopathogenesis. The candidate is expected to establish (Assistant Professor) or have (Associate Professor) an extramurally funded research program in immunopathogenesis of infectious disease agents, immunology and/or immunology pertaining to cancer. Candidates may participate and receive additional funding from two NIH:NIGMS-supported Centers for Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE), the Center for Lung Biology (https://clbd.cobre.lsu.edu ) and the Center for Pre-Clinical Cancer Research (https://cpccr.cobre.lsu.edu) headquartered at SVM.

 

The position provides an attractive salary, generous start-up package, laboratory space, and excellent opportunities for collaboration with basic and translational investigators at LSU and the LSU Center for Computation & Technology (CCT), as well as those at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, LA, the Tulane National Primate Research Center in Covington, LA and the LSU Health Science Centers at New Orleans and Shreveport, respectively. The Department offers outstanding technical resources in many areas with state-of-the-art core facilities, including flow cytometry, imaging, genomics, pathology, and BSL-3 facilities.
