Position Summary

Responsible for the timely coordination of biospecimen collection, transporting and shipping of biospecimens obtained from subjects enrolled in complex research protocols. Maintains records associated with the collection and shipment of biospecimens and packages shipments as required by protocol. Monitors clinic and other schedules to ensure subjects are scheduled for protocol required visits and/or procedures.

Follows established City of Hope and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines, including adherence to the workplace Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan. Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements. (Associate Degree plus minimum of 2 years of experience)

Req. Certification/Licensure: IATA certification (may be obtained after hire)

Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in biomedical or biological sciences

Preferred Courses/Training: Knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred Experience: Exposure to clinical trials or health related field

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate's experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
