Postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Venuprasad Poojary in the Department of Internal Medicine, Digestive and Liver, at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Our lab studies inflammation and cancer in mouse models (Kathania eta la. Cell Reports, 2022, Kumar R et al., Trends in Immunol, 2022; Thiess et al., Cell Reports, 2022; Mukherjee S et al. Nat. Immunol, 2021; Singh AK et al. Nat. Commun, 2021; Kathania M et al., Nat. Immunol, 2016, etc.). Our goal is to identify key regulatory mechanisms in the immune cells that regulate inflammation and to target these pathways in human diseases. The Poojary laboratory is well equipped for in vitro biochemical/molecular/cellular studies and in vivo animal studies in immunology and cancer biology. Candidates must hold a recent Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree.  Experience in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, cancer biology, and immunology leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals is recommended.
