Key Functions

  1. Subject liaison for research studies

Identifies qualified subjects for research studies. Approaches subjects to consent for research, non-interventional studies. Verifies schedules with patients for accuracy and timeliness. Acts as liaison with patients, families, physicians and other personnel. Coordinates communication between the research nursing staff and protocol patients by conducting phone calls to protocol patients, assisting with scheduling of protocol related tests and appointments.

  1. Protocol management

Registers subjects in OnCore. Completes required documentation in EPIC. Verifies research procedures are ordered per protocol and coded as standard of care or covered by the research as outlined in the protocol coverage analysis. Ensure biospecimens are collected per protocol, documented, and delivered to processing laboratory. Upload documentation from medical records including treatment records and pathology information.

  1. Data entry and auditing

Develops and maintains REDCap databases for collection of research data. Assists in preparation of information and reports. Coordinates and maintains systems for data collections for protocols and non-protocol studies as evidenced by observation of supervisor. Reviews data for correctness and edits as necessary.

  1. Other duties as assigned.


High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred degree: Bachelor's degree Two years of related experience. With preferred degree, no experience required.
