Process Private Industry Contracts and Material Transfer Agreements for Signature and Execution by Institutional Signing Official.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
Process Private Industry Contracts and Material Transfer Agreements:
* Review and analyze private industry contracts and material transfer agreements for compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines and regulations. Act as liaison for institutional signatory and responsible for execution of agreements. Initiate award setup and award modifications. Manage institutional mailboxes and prioritize work to ensure that research contracts are executed as expeditious as possible. Collect information on external sponsors that need to be added to the MTA system and update the MTA records. Complete monthly reports on MTA Metrics and pending records over 30 days and weekly IRB status reports.
Communication & Team-Building:
* Relay information to departmental representatives as well as central office staff members related to processes required to execute contracts. Work with others across the Institution to meet the regulatory needs of contract execution. Triage and manage record concerns and/or include central offices when needed for a continued process
Research Contract Tracking System (RCTS) and MTA system:
* Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the RCTS and MTA systems and their components including DocuSign and Click Grants integration. Work with ORA IT and consultants to maintain the data integrity, efficiency and functionality of the systems. Assist department stakeholders to troubleshoot system issues and provide feedback as needed
Research Training:
* May assist senior staff in preparing training for Material Transfer Agreements, including instructor lead courses and one-on-one and/or departmental trainings.
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Two years of business experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred: Material Transfer Agreements, Contracts, Compliance, or related.
