ROLE SUMMARY

The Vaccines and Antivirals Medical Communications, Analytics & Content Education Lead is responsible for leading and overseeing the Medical Metrics Analysis, Medical Communications and Content & Education team and overseeing medical content strategy and creation, ongoing training, communications, budget management, and process documentation and improvement for all Vaccines & Antivirals products in support of Global Medical, U.S. Field Medical, and country medical as applicable, including materials for the Galaxy Pfizer website. In addition, this role is responsible for strategizing and liaising with Digital on implementation of key technology and innovative solutions for medical material management, medical training, interactive and dynamic content development for various platforms, and other systems as identified in support of the Medical organization.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees and manages team of Content & Education [Directors, Senior Managers] and Project /Program Manager(s) in support of Global and US Medical content and education activities
  • Developand Analyze Medical Metrics to evaluate impact each of the medical activities implemented
  • Collaborates with broad Global and regional stakeholders on creation of Content & Education strategic plan for medical materials, including materials for the Galaxy Pfizer medical website
  • Responsible for strategic creation and implementation of global framework for medical content material development, review, and training aligned with BM3.3 and overall transformation of Pfizer content development strategies
  • Responsible for strategy and relationship with Digital on implementation of key technology and innovative solutions for medical material management, training, interactive and dynamic content development for various platforms, and other solutions in support of Medical teams
  • Oversees strategy and execution of ongoing customer facing medical scientific training for assigned Vaccines and Antivirals assets
  • Oversees strategy, creation and execution of congress external medical materials and internal training
  • Responsible for strategy and relationship with the Global and US Medical Leadership Teams on overall therapeutic training and content development needs
  • Oversees process documentation and improvement, as applicable
  • Champions internal training materials and external medical communication resources through appropriate medical review processes
  • Demonstrates mastery of all Pfizer and alliance (if applicable) SOPs and work instructions related to medical review
  • Oversees the coordination of external vendors, in alignment with Medical Strategies, in the creation of medical materials for external communications (e.g. Customer Facing Medical HCP interactions)
  • Oversees Global and US Vaccines & Antivirals Medical Content & Education budget planning and maintenance.
  • Works with Global Medical TAs & Global Content Team on the analysis of Strategic Insights that inform utility of and future needs for fieldresources, HQ team members, and evolving HCP needs
  • Foresees future content needs and prioritizes focus areas (or scales team) toappropriately meet needs
  • Liaise with legal, compliance and governance on processes and issues related to Content & Education deliverables
  • Stays current on Global and local regulations and guidance that impact interactions with and delivery of medical information to external healthcare professionals and patients
  • Stays current on and recommends new and innovative content creation formats and approaches, including digital formats, interactive and dynamic formats, and modular content approach, etc.; act as champion for innovative and omnichannel solutions and ensure appropriate expertise available on team
  • Stays current on all relevant Pfizer SOPs and guidance documents.
  • Serve on Vaccines & Antivirals Medical and cross-functional, cross divisional and cross business unit committees as needed.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Advanced degree, MD (ideally Board certified and with a current US license)
  • 5 + years of pharmaceutical industry experience required Previous people management experience preferred
  • Proven experience in developing content strategies and creative ideas
  • Multimedia and omnichannel experience preferred
  • Ability to create digital content included using an interactive PDF format, A/V (video, podcasts, etc.) and other dynamic content preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly adopt and utilize new digital technology and other resources (e.g. iPad, Acronis, WEBEX, on-demand video-conference, OneMED)
  • Experience working with data visualization tools, such as D3.js, Qlik, Tableau, etc. a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to train other health-care personnel preferred
  • Customer Facing medical experience preferred
  • Previous scientific communication experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong strategic, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with shown flexibility and organizational awareness
  • Ability to create & oversee complex projects, including budget management & fiscal awareness
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple functions including Medical (Customer Facing and HQ), Medical Information, Corporate Communications, Digital, and Commercial
  • Must be decisive, exercise good judgment in decisions, organized and with the ability to prioritize a large workload.
  • Ability to manage resources, programs and multiple projects.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Domestic and/or international travel up to 30% of time likely.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $219,600.00 to $365,800.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.

Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
