Senior Counselor
Provides individual, family, or couples-based counseling utilizing evidenced-based behavioral and psychological interventions and assessment techniques in the provision of clinical care for patients receiving medical services from our palliative and supportive care team.
Applies psychological or behavioral interventions and assessment techniques for clinical programs, and less often research programs. Develops and or delivers individualized psychologically based treatment plans. Maintains appropriate documentation of all clinical activities and protocols. Implements operational procedures maintaining quality assurance. Trains staff, evaluates performance, and provides clinical supervision to trainees.
Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, related counseling degree or Social Work. Three years of post-masters related counseling experience. One of the following: *Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) issued by the state of Texas. *Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the state of Texas. *Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) issued by the state of Texas. *Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) issued by the state of Texas. *Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) issued by the state of Texas
