Vice Chair of Research - Heart & Vascular Institute

The Heart and Vascular Institute of the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, in Hershey, PA is recruiting an individual with either an M.D. or Ph.D. for the position of Vice Chair of Research. The selected individual will possess a nationally recognized clinical or basic science research program supported by extramural funding. The selected individual will qualify for a tenured appointment as either an Associate or Full Professor within the Department of Medicine or Surgery of The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. Substantial financial resources and laboratory space will be offered to the Vice Chair to support their research program, including recruitment of additional faculty and staff. The Vice Chair of Research will play a significant role in establishing the research direction for the Heart and Vascular Institute and will be expected to increase the Institute's research funding through extramural grants. In addition, the Vice Chair of Research will be expected to promote the academic development of junior faculty members and research fellows.
