ROLE SUMMARY

The Omnichannel Lead, Global Scientific Communications will support Pfizer Oncology in leading and developing an omnichannel scientific communication strategy across publications, congresses, and digital platforms for specific medical franchises within the oncology portfolio.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement an omnichannel scientific communication strategy for medicines within the Pfizer Oncology portfolio that broadens the reach and impact of scientific publications
  • Lead and chair Data Dissemination Sub-Teams for assigned medicine(s) and/or franchise(s) to build and execute medical omnichannel communication plans aligned with global and regional medical strategies
  • Collaborate with Global and Regional Medical teams, Global Scientific Communications leads, Pfizer Digital, and enterprise partners to drive medical omnichannel initiatives
  • Develop key internal and external communications that present and share key omnichannel updates, as well as scientific innovations and advancements
  • Partner with Global Medical Teams, Governance, Legal, and other key Pfizer Oncology Stakeholders in ensuring alignment of data dissemination strategies, navigating complexities in implementation where appropriate
  • Partner with Corporate Communications and Commercial Development around omnichannel communications to ensure alignment and efficiencies across functional groups
  • Support medicine teams, regional/global medical affairs and other Pfizer Oncology stakeholders in engagements with the external medical community
  • Contribute to strategic planning for key conventions to gain alignment on the omnichannel plans from the cross functional/regional working teams.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • Advanced scientific/healthcare degree required (PharmD, PhD, MS, etc.)
  • Minimum 5-7 years pharmaceutical industry with 2+ years experience in Medical Affairs/Scientific Publications/Medical Communications Agency
  • Represent a function within a matrix organization through a strong track record of excellent presentation, customer facing, and interpersonal skills
  • Direct external vendors and manage budgets, timelines, and quality of deliverables
  • Grasp scientific context and assimilate perspectives from stakeholders
  • Strong track record of written and oral communication skills to develop and present scientific information to varied audiences and articulate messages succinctly
  • Understand detailed technical information and convey complex ideas to a variety of audience types and cultures
  • Quickly build rapport and credibility with key internal and key external stakeholders through strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills to track numerous tasks for multiple simultaneous projects in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Effectively operate in a complex internal matrix and external partner relationship(s)


Desired:
  • Experience in oncology/hematology
  • Experience in global medical communications and understanding of applicable regional legal and regulatory hurdles
  • Experience with omnichannel activities, including open and closed platform use a plus
  • Experience with scientific peer-reviewed publications
  • Familiarity with ICMJE Authorship Guidelines and Good Publication Practice Guidelines

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $156,900.00 to $261,500.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.

Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
