We are seeking a highly motivated, self-driven scientist for a Postdoctoral Scholar position in the laboratory of Dr. Senthil Radhakrishnan in the Department of Pathology at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). The successful candidate chosen for this position will participate in projects focusing on the role of cellular protein degradation pathways (ubiquitin-proteasome system and autophagy-lysosomal system) in cancer and Alzheimer's disease using cell culture and mouse models. The laboratory is funded by National Institutes of Health (NIH), American Cancer Society (ACS), and the Department of Defense (DoD).
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree with an extensive background in Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology along with significant experience in mammalian cell culture systems. Experience with mouse tumor models is highly preferred. Candidates should also have peer-reviewed publications that demonstrate research productivity.
