The Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases (IMM) is part of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston McGovern Medical School. IMM is a translational research institute that investigates the cause of human diseases at the genetic, cellular, and molecular level. We invite applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Center for Translational Cancer Research, one of eight research centers within the IMM. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level. The candidate will be expected to establish independent research in the area of cancer biology and/or drug discovery with a focus on gastrointestinal cancers. The candidate is expected to supervise students, postdoctoral fellows, and research scientists. A strong background in cancer biology, immunology, biochemistry, cell biology, or pharmacology is desirable. Experience in cancer therapeutics discovery is preferred.
