Job Details
6000! That’s the number of associates in the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR). This division is the innovation engine of Novartis, focusing on powerful new technologies that have the potential to help produce therapeutic breakthroughs for patients.
Timing: March 2023 (expected start date)
Duration: 6-9 months
Your responsibilities:
• Conduct research in the field of bioconjugation chemistry
• Synthetize and characterize new reagents for bioconjugation chemistry
• Develop and optimize protocols for site-specific bioconjugation of proteins or antibodies
• Perform phys-chem characterization, documentation and presentation of results in team and departmental meetings
• Work in collaboration with other team members

Minimum Requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Master student with background in organic chemistry or bioconjugation (synthesis, purification and analytical techniques). Alternative Master student in chemical biology or biochemistry.
• Experience in protein handling and protein analytics are a plus
• Independency regarding planning, execution and reporting of experiments
• Excellent organization and communication skills and the willingness to collaborate within international multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in English ; German and/or French language skills are advantageous
