The Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital invite applications for a full-time Research Scientist in the Regenerative Engineering Laboratory at the College of Dental Medicine. The position specializes in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. The successful candidate will conduct research for regeneration of musculoskeletal and dental/craniofacial tissues using stem cells, control-delivery, biomaterials, and/or animal models.
Qualifications: A PhD/doctorate is required. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with aseptic cell and tissue culture techniques and laboratory animals (rodents) surgical procedures. Extensive experience in biomaterial and scaffold fabrication and controlled delivery is necessary.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with other researchers, including faculty postdoctoral fellows and graduate and undergraduate students, in a fast-paced environment.
Hiring Salary Range: $82,092–$90,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
