Cell Biology Faculty Position

 

The Department of Cell Biology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine seeks candidates for Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor tenure stream and tenured faculty positions. Ideal candidates will have a strong record of research accomplishments in the broad area of cell biology, with research programs that will synergize with other strengths within the wider School of Medicine. Examples include (but are not limited to) cancer biology, cardiovascular medicine, renal physiology, pulmonary medicine, regenerative medicine and ageing. Individuals with interests in protein and lipid trafficking, intracellular signaling, cytoskeleton and systems cell biology will align well with existing strengths in the department and are particularly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will join an interactive, interdisciplinary group of faculty, students and fellows, and enjoy access to the state-of-the-art equipment and facilities at the University of Pittsburgh. Candidates should also convey a capacity to contribute to the teaching and service missions of the department and university. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in the field of Biological Sciences. The professorial rank will be commensurate with the level of experience and demonstrated capacity to build and maintain a vibrant, internationally renowned, extramurally funded research program.
