Job Details

Mission: Our goal is to provide every cancer patient with an effective targeted cell therapy that eradicates malignancy with minimal toxicity.

Background: Cell therapy is expanding, with numerous cell products being developed by academic centers and the industry. The development of a cell therapy product is complex and requires the integration of multiple disciplines with a common purpose. We have proven our capacity for leadership in the field of cell therapy by developing novel therapies such as viral specific CTLs and a CAR-NK program. We are currently world leaders in the use of CAR-NK to treat cancer.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Applies technical expertise and experience to plan, coordinate, design, supervise and carry out research projects. Plans, organize coordinates, directs, and participates in scientific research projects. Assigns and reviews work of subordinates, determines specific goals or objectives to be attained, evaluates resulting research data, and revises techniques or approaches to work problems. Supervises the design, development, or adaptation of equipment used in experiments or research to obtain desired results. Compiles, writes, and submits reports to superiors Plans and supervises the training of technicians and other laboratory personnel with respect to proper laboratory techniques, the use of laboratory equipment, and safety procedures

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have an MD and/or Ph.D. degree in a related field along with lead-author publications, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a research team. Candidates who pursue an independent career path are highly preferred. Expertise in immunology, neurology/neurodegeneration, and/or viral vector based cell engineering is also desirable.
