The Institut Pasteur de Lille, a Center of Excellence in Biology and Biomedical research, opens a new position for an outstanding scientist as group leader to establish an independent research team on the campus of the Institut Pasteur de Lille (www.pasteur-lille.fr).

The candidate should primarily be specialized in the development and application of bioinformatic analysis of large-scale omics data with a strong training background in bioinformatics and well-established experience in the field. He/she will be in charge of developing research strategies and tools allowing for systems-wide investigations in the main themes of the Institut Pasteur de Lille, e.g. areas of physiology and metabolic diseases (dyslipidemia, type-2 diabetes and fatty liver disease) and/or cardiovascular diseases (atherosclerosis and heart failure), and/or neurodegenerative diseases, and/or bacterial and viral infection and immunity. This will involve leveraging multi-omics data (transcriptome, interactome, epigenome, metabolome etc) and strong collaborations with teams of the campus.

Initial funding for the duration of three years will be provided by the Institute. Within those 3 years, the team of the applicant is expected to reach sustainability through applications for regional, national and international grants, as well as application for a permanent position at the CNRS or Inserm. The Institut Pasteur de Lille will provide all the necessary assistance to complete all applications.
