Position Description: The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Iowa invites applications for one full-time Clinical Instructor (non-tenure track) position. This position is renewable on a yearly basis. The preferred start date is May 1, 2023. Applications are sought from candidates with a demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching biochemistry and molecular biology.
Duties of this position include course development, teaching, and professional development as outlined on the course syllabus.
Education Requirements: A doctoral degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or other closely related field is required.
Required Qualifications: Demonstrated potential in the following areas: teaching excellence, teaching across multiple content areas, teaching across multiple formats (lab, lecture, etc), engaging students using creative pedagogy, and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds. Applicants must have demonstrated evidence of a commitment to diversity in the educational community.
