What You Will Achieve

How You Will Achieve It
- Maintains appropriate logbooks and records to include equipment logbooks, vendor quality trends, product line trends, etc.
- Reviews and approves Incoming Quality inspection sampling plans and test results prior to release for Production use without subsequent level review. Results are compared to the Specification Sheets and Monographs.
- Evaluate damaged material to determine component and product safety/risk for the individual for whom the product is intended. Including: adulteration, contamination and sabotage.
- Identifies a material sampling schedule to meet the Production timelines while providing Special Samples to aid in investigations, customer requests and compliance updates.
- Scheduling of sampling priorities with various functions in the plant. Including: Warehouse, BQ/CQ Laboratories, One-2-One, Dispensing, PIC.
- Component Defect Categorization and conformance to Specification Sheets and Monographs.
- Assists in the investigation to aid Quality Engineering.
- Quarantine Retest List is reviewed for material scheduled expiry to ensure expired material is not utilized in Production.
- Grade D Gowning required minimizing human exposure to raw materials during sampling. Respirator training required to minimize hazardous exposure to IQ personnel.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Requires ability to understand and carry out assigned duties effectively.
- Competent knowledge and understanding needed of specialized business processes in the Incoming Lab and GMP environment.
- High school plus additional specialized courses and/or 2 years of relevant experience.
Nice-to-Have
- 1-3 Years of experience in pharmaceutical or Biotechnology environment
- Certification or degree in assigned area
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, bending, reaching and retrieving chemicals and components, ability to work in outside heat/cold.
- Long periods of standing, sitting and significant walking.
- Considerable concentration and mental dexterity.
- Grade D gowning trained or able to be trained.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
- 12-hour shift work which includes weekends, some holidays and some overtime required.
- Incoming lab environment may have hazardous chemicals.
