The laboratory of Yelena Ginzburg, MD, in the Department of Medicine and The Tisch Cancer Institute (an NCI-designated cancer center) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City is seeking a talented and motivated postdoctoral researcher.  The NIH-funded laboratory studies iron metabolism regulation with emphasis on its crosstalk with and modulation of erythropoiesis, effects on bone homeostasis, and contribution to brain aging in health and disease by targeting multiple regulatory components in these functional elements. The laboratory uses this information to develop better approaches for treating diseases associated with disordered hematopoiesis, bone loss, and neurodegeneration.   The successful applicant will be part of a vibrant team that combines molecular, cell, mouse modeling and molecular biology techniques with omics and validation in human tissue samples. The candidate should have a strong background in cell biology and molecular biology techniques and very good analytical skills. A working understanding of hematopoiesis or prior experience working with bone are not essential but would be a plus. The laboratory and Mount Sinai are committed to a diverse, nurturing and equal opportunity workplace.  Interested candidates are invited to provide CV and three references.
