A postdoctoral position is available in area of Retinal Neuroscience in the laboratories of Dr. Yongling Zhu and Dr. Steven DeVries at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, U.S.A. Our labs study the structure and function of neural circuits underlying the encoding of visual information in the mammalian retina. We use a combination of mouse genetics, viral tracing, optogenetics, electrophysiology, and two-photon imaging for circuit dissection and manipulation.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a PhD. in Neuroscience or related fields. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in electrophysiology and/or two-photon imaging. Applicants are expected to have good understanding of neuroscience, and to take an active role in shaping the research plan.
