What You Will Achieve
This individual will be supporting analytical characterization of viral vaccine strain change activities within the Vaccine Research and Development - Early Bioprocess Development group. The individual will perform sample testing in support of the DNA template, RNA drug substance and LNP drug product production and characterization to enable strain changes as required . Assays include standard analytical separations and spectroscopic techniques.

What You Will Achieve

How You Will Achieve It
- In this position the individual will perform sample testing (HPLC, CE, DLS, UV, etc.) to support viral vaccine strain change. This includes preparing samples, setting up and running the instruments, and analyzing data.
- Document experiments, analyze data, and provide conclusions obtained from sample testing contemporaneously in notebook as directed.
- With guidance, the individual will assist with or execute assay verification or update activities.
- Plan workflow to complete the tasks/experiments outlined by the supervisor.
- The individual is expected to contribute and participate in general laboratory maintenance activities (such as maintenance of equipment, managing laboratory waste).
Qualifications
Must-Have
- A degree in a relevant field of science (chemistry, biology, immunology, microbiology, etc). MS with 0+ years of research experience, or BS with 3+ years of experience .
- Has a good foundation in general scientific practice and the principles and concepts of a relevant scientific field of study.
- Experience with separation-based analytical techniques (HPLC or CE) is desired.
- Proficiency in the use of word processing, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant scientific software is desirable
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
- Motivated, detail-oriented, quick learner.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with characterization of mRNA or adjuvant products is a plus.
