postdoctoral fellow and research associate

Postdoctoral fellow and research associate position available immediately in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, for candidates with strong publication records and experience in developmental/stem cell biology, reproductive biology, and birth defects, especially in murine cardiogenesis and neural tube development. Our research focuses on the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of maternal diabetes-induced birth defects. Applicants must have a Ph.D. with expertise at least in one of the following fields: embryonic development, cardiac development and disease, neural tube development, molecular biology, and epigenetics. Additional requirements for applicants are experienced in autophagy, non-coding RNA, cellular organelle stress, or senescence.
