The laboratory of Ramon Parsons, MD, PhD, in the Department of Oncological Sciences and The Tisch Cancer Institute (an NCI-designated cancer center) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City is seeking a talented and motivated postdoctoral researcher.  The NCI-funded laboratory studies PTEN and the PI3K pathway with emphasis on their role in signaling, metabolism, transcription, proliferation and the immune microenvironment. The laboratory uses this information to develop better approaches for treating cancers with alterations on the PTEN/PI3K/AKT pathway.   The successful applicant will be part of a vibrant team that combines molecular, cell, mouse modeling and cancer biology techniques with gene and epigenetic profiling analysis and validation in tumor samples. The candidate should have a strong background in cell biology and molecular biology techniques and very good analytical skills. Computational and systems biology knowledge is not essential but would be a plus. The laboratory and Mount Sinai are committed to a diverse, nurturing and equal opportunity workplace.  Interested candidates are invited to provide CV and three references.
