Summary
Postdoctoral Associate will conduct research in neurobiology and electrophysiology to study molecular mechanisms for estrogenic actions on neurons and synaptic activity. He/she will work with genetic mouse/viral models, stereotaxic brain injections, mouse colony maintenance, neuroanatomy, molecular cloning, ChIP, luciferase assay, RiboTag gene profiling, CRISPR DNA editing, fiber photometry in vivo recordings, and systemic characterization of mouse glucose/energy balance. The candidate must have advanced knowledge in modern neuroendocrinology.

Job Duties
- Research in neurobiology and electrophysiology to study molecular mechanisms for estrogenic actions on neurons and synaptic activity.
- Works with genetic mouse/viral models, stereotaxic brain injections, mouse colony maintenance, neuroanatomy, molecular cloning, ChIP, luciferase assay, RiboTag gene profiling, CRISPR DNA editing, fiber photometry in vivo recordings, and systemic characterization of mouse glucose/energy balance.
- Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
- Collects, compiles, analyze data, documents, and interprets the results of experiments and report to the principal investigator.
- Conducts literature searches.
- Develops assay protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of advanced concepts in modern neuroendocrinology.
- The candidate is expected to carry out animal studies.
