*There are two roles open* Candidates must be onsite in the East Hanover Office a few days per week.

Provide high-quality review of promotional materials involving Novartis divisions, the Medical Information Manager must be able to ensure materials are scientifically accurate, current, and properly substantiated and referenced. Ensure material is scientifically rigorous and presented with appropriate context and ensure material is scientifically understandable for intended customer audience, and aligned with the informational requests of health care professionals

Major Accountabilities
• Provide high-quality Medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials; en-sure materials are scientifically accurate, current, and properly substantiated and refer-enced; ensure materials are scientifically rigorous and presented with appropriate con-text
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify strategies and execute tactics to sup-port Innovative Medicines portfolio (e.g. medical tactical teams [MTT], launch manage-ment teams [LMT], IDMTs )
• Identify emerging medical trends, marketplace issues (e.g., Medical Inquiry Trends, Business Intelligence) and quality assurance issues and share with appropriate Novartis personnel
• Create and deliver timely responses to unsolicited medical information inquir-ies/requests from HCPs in a multi-media environment and record information according to Novartis and regulatory guidelines.
• Peer-review, and under certain circumstances, approve medical response documents
• Provide therapeutic and product training to multiple internal customers (e.g. sales force, customer interaction center, HCP engagement center)
• Staff medical information booths at annual scientific congresses
• Guide the development of the clinical section of the AMCP dossier and ensure timely delivery to healthcare decision makers upon unsolicited requests.
• Assist Med Info Associate Directors/Directors in maintaining constant interactions with US Affairs (USMA), Marketing / Sales functions, in order to ensure alignment of Medical Information strategy with business needs
• Participate in projects to ensure medical information capabilities are utilized, both cross-functionally and internally

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $118,400.00 and $177,600.00 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Minimum Requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

Education/Experience (minimum/desirable): • PharmD, healthcare-related PhD, or MD is required with sig-nificant industry or related medical information experience preferred. Post-graduate specialty training is desirable
• At least 2 years (Manager) of experience in medical writing, medical information/drug information, and/or relevant clinical experience Advanced degree or training in particular relevant therapeutic area desirable
• Pharmaceutical Industry Experience; minimum 2 years in MIM role or equivalent Medical Information experience
• Management experience
• CPO Medical Department experience

Languages:
Technical Skills/Knowledge
• Fluent English
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, pharmacotherapeutics, and laboratory diagnostic tests
• Knowledge of drug information processes and adverse event reporting regulations a must
• Proven literature analysis and evaluation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and technologically savvy

Leadership/Organizational Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, prioritize, and organize in a complex, matrix environment
