Summary

IQuESt, the Center for Innovations in Quality, Effectiveness and Safety, is seeking a skilled Research Coordinator III. We are the largest center for Health Services Research within the Southwest. We conduct high-quality scientific research that improves the health of patients across the nation, by helping to ensure the patient-centered delivery of scientific discoveries. We are seeking someone to oversee the administrative and financial operations of a research study or clinical trial.

Job Duties

  • Manages the daily operation of multiple research projects within the Department of Medicine.
  • Trains and supervises research coordinators.
  • Executes in a timely manner key deliverables, identification of critical risk areas and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Develops management plan to include timeline and milestones.
  • Coordinates research personnel meetings, provides daily guidance to research coordinators and other team members, and responds to inquiries and requests from program leaders and funding agency.
  • Manages and coordinates quality assurance and safety programs.
  • Oversees regulatory activities that lead to timely regulatory submission and approval.
  • Prepares regular progress reports.
  • Coordinates all study procedures with collaborating site to ensure consistently and accuracy of data collection, documentation, organization, and safety of patients in the study.
  • Oversees and develops database development and data collection software.
  • Manages budgets of the projects and monitors ongoing expenditures to ensure compliance with anticipated expenses.
  • Orders study supplies and manages inventory of equipment.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Two years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Research Administrator certification through the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC).
