Summary
Applicants are needed for a postdoctoral position in the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. The successful candidate will design and lead the project aimed to elucidate how blood forming stem cells acrue mutations to cause a premalignant state in vivo. The candidate will perform flow cytometry, bone marrow transplantation, and histological analyses, in addition to general molecular biological techniques to study leukemia. The candidate will also work with the PI to prepare the manuscript.

Job Duties
- Performs bone marrow transplantation, flow cytometry, genomics profiling, transcriptomics profiling, and other molecular biology experiments.
- Analyzes, interprets, and records the results.
- Reviews the literature, summarize the experimental results, and prepares drafts of the manuscript.
- Prepares presentation slides and presents the results to the lab and to the scientific community.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. or equivalent degree and have excellent training in cell biology and molecular biology.
- A strong training background in stem cell biology and/or cancer biology is highly desirable.
- Candidates who wish to step in stem cell biology with strong bioinformatics or systems biology background is also encouraged to apply.
