Summary

The Texas Child Mental Heath Care Consortium will be extending their initiatives that will further extend the work of the Child Psychiatry Access Network (CPAN) to provide evidence based training on Suicide Safety Planning for youth presenting to primary care physician in outpatient settings. CPAN will be collaborating with the developers of SAFETY-A (formerly known as Family Intervention for Suicide Prevention [FISP]) to adapt the program for outpatient providers, training a cohort of PCPs, and training state CPAN teams in the model in order to extend training to additional providers across the state. This Research Coordinator III position will assist the BCM Department of Psychiatry in organizing the program within BCM and our affiliates and across four departments of psychiatry within the state. This will be a hybrid position.

Job Duties

  • Manages and overseeing the day to day activities of the SAFETY-A
  • Provides direct oversight/guidance that includes preparing and maintaining documents and records
  • Recruits primary care providers to meet enrollment goals
  • Provides data collection related to utilization of SAFETY-A
  • Provides structure and insight into the protocol, research documentation with the PI and the Co-investigators
  • Liaises within BCM and outside institutions to comply with procedures and accurate data transfer/integrity
  • Provides federal reports, IRB amendments and other protocol reports needed by BCM and the State
  • Helps design and prepares source documents and SOPS, while maintaining records
  • Tracks spending and reimbursements


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Two years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Four years of relevant experience, including experience on clinical trials
  • Experience with budget management is preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills will be essential.
