A postdoctoral fellow position in Computational Biology is immediately available. This
project involves developing and application of large-scale data analysis techniques
from Systems Biology field to molecular dynamics methods and study the dynamics
of G-protein coupled receptors complexes to understand its signaling selectivity. The
project is inter-disciplinary and provides opportunities to train in large scale data
analysis techniques as well as interact with experimental collaborator. City of Hope
provides a multi-disciplinary collaborative environment with opportunities to interact
with clinician scientists to conduct benchside to bedside research.Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
Preferred education experience and skills:
- PhD degree in Chemistry or Physics or Biochemistry with experience in protein dynamics studies.
- The candidate should be knowledgeable about concepts in statistical thermodynamics, in python scripting and C++ programming
- Familiarity with Molecular Dynamics methods and experience in code development, is preferred.
- The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate's experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
