PhD Student and Postdoc Position Recruiting

Applications are invited for a PhD Student and a Postdoctoral Fellowship starting immediately at the University of Ottawa to investigate features of synaptic signal integration and microcircuit function using experimental and computational approaches.  We are using novel voltage imaging methods (Villette et al., Cell, 179:1590-1608, 2019) to visualize voltage changes in 3D in active neurons to determine how synaptic signals propagate and integrate.

The researcher will join a collaborative group with expertise in cellular electrophysiology, two-photon imaging, and advanced computational modeling (Drs Katalin Toth and Richard Naud).  Experience (PhD Student) or expertise (Postdoc) in cellular electrophysiology and/or in two-photon cellular imaging is required.  These fully funded positions with attractive conditions are available immediately.  The candidate is expected to be competitive for external fellowships.
