The Biology Department at Whitman College is seeking candidates for a one-year position in Biology, with expertise in Human or Comparative Animal Physiology, at the rank of visiting assistant professor, beginning August 2023. A graduate degree relevant to the position is required, Ph.D. is preferred.

The successful candidate will have a 5-course teaching load. They will teach one lecture section and two lab sections of our introductory course, Biological Principles, as well as upper level Physiology with two lab sections, and will supervise theses (helping students to write and present an undergraduate senior thesis based on students' previously completed research).

Salary Range: $64,000-$67,000
