Summary
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute and Cain Foundation Laboratories affiliated with Texas Children's Hospital to discover the genetic causes of childhood neurological disorders (epilepsy, autism, ADHD, and cognitive impairments), elucidate neuropsychological changes, and discover therapeutic interventions for rare and common neurologic disorders. The primary role of the Research Coordinator III is to coordinate day to day activities of human subjects research protocols, research study visits, and will ensure accurate data collection, documentation, interpretation, and management. The Research Coordinator III will have to be adaptive, with exceptional interpersonal and attention to detail skills, and able to work with people from many different backgrounds, this includes interacting with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families.

Job Duties
- Maintains databases, registries, records, IRB, and regulatory documents for research studies
- Manages all aspects of study implementation, including scheduling study visits and biospecimen collection, obtaining informed consent, determining eligibility, and recruiting participants
- Serve as a liaison between the community, researchers, and sponsors
- Collects patient information. Processes, documents, and enters information into a database. Corresponds with participants and families throughout study
- Maintains and organizes inventory of study supplies and equipment
- Conducts literature searches, summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study
- Conducts testing procedures required by study protocols, data collection, data entry, and assisting in interpreting the results
- Collects qualitative and quantitative data from research participants. Evaluates clinical research data in an appropriate format.
- Assists with training and overseeing activities of new staff and trainees
- Other duties as required for the study protocols as determined by the PI
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- Two years of relevant experience.
