Positions are available immediately in the Department of Neurosurgery and the Brain Tumor Center at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. The post-doctoral positions involve basic and translational research in the areas of glioma cell biology, mouse models of brain cancer, and tumor cell exploitation of the brain microenvironment, including the neurovascular unit/blood-brain barrier. The post-doc will receive training and mentoring in the use of mouse models and in vitro culture systems to study cell adhesion and signaling pathways involved in tumor cell-stromal cell interactions. A strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology is required.

All applicants should have a PhD and/or MD as well as peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognized journals.

The M. D. Anderson Department of Neurosurgery and Brain Tumor Center are located in the vibrant research environment of the Houston Texas Medical Center, which includes Baylor College of Medicine, The University of Texas Medical School, the Methodist Hospital Research Institute, and Rice University.
